Sailing out of the Gulf of Aden into the Red Sea – Day 27

Tonight we left the Gulf of Aden through the Bab al-Mandab and entered the Red Sea. As we neared Djibouti at about 1:00pm, our security boat left us since we had passed through the most high incident areas. We still have to reach 14 degrees latitude, which should be early tomorrow, before we return to normal shipboard operations. We’ve not seen any threats so all is well.

Jeff did some time on the treadmill while I did the elliptical. After last night’s big dinner, we both decided to make it a no alcohol, no dessert day. We ate salads for dinner. It’s been a very nice, lazy day.
