South America is next!

Map

We had two complimentary one-way business class upgrades that were expiring this month on American Airlines.  The hunt was on to try and find somewhere far to fly to, catch a ship and end up close to home.  So we found the above pictured cruise on Princess and booked it.

We'll be flying to Rio via Miami this Wednesday night.  The ship leaves Rio Saturday for a 30 day trip to San Francisco.  Once we reach San Francisco, we're staying a few nights in the city to visit friends.  We'll then rent a car and drive south to see my brother for a night before driving home.

The Star Princess has 2,600 passengers and is the largest ship we've ever been on.  We seem to keep creeping up in ship size.  We started out with several ships holding 300 passengers, then we went up to 700 passengers.  Next was 1,400 passengers and now this huge thing.  Next year, we'll be on the NCL Breakaway's inaugural  cruise and it has 4,000 passengers!
