We are on our way from Rio to Montevideo, Uruguay. The ship is approximately 30 degrees South and 47 degrees West in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Brazil, just past Porto Alegre, Brazil.
Today was a relaxing sea day. We were able to finally get our bearings on this huge ship. We’re still not sure if we are entirely comfortable with how many people there actually are on board. Everywhere you go you find more people.
We spent most of the day reading. Jeff attended trivia and found a knowledgable team to join. At 11:00 we met up with our Cruise Critic gang that we had met online. There were several hundred of us, so with such a large group, we only had time to pay our group leaders our share of the private shore excursions we had signed up for before the get together was over.
Tonight was a formal night and we had reservations in the Crown Grill, the ship’s speciality steakhouse. Dinner was excellent as was the bottle of Cote du Rhone we consumed. There seems to be alot of people who dress way up on this cruise but, unlike other ships we have been on, there is also a large contingent who wear shorts and flip flops at night (but not in dining room that we saw.)
Good night!
