Seattle - Day 4

The morning news on TV said rain was due in at 2:00 p.m.  Sorry to tell them, but when I opened the drapes at 7:00 a.m., it was pouring.  The hotel had given us a free breakfast today, so we headed downstairs for some pancakes and eggs.  Our car service was due to pick us up at noon, so we relaxed in the room and Jeff got his Regis fix, his last for the next six weeks.
The car was on time and off we headed to the ship.  Check-in was a breeze and we were in our room in no time.  Our luggage arrived shortly thereafter, so we were able to unpack before our passenger safety drill.  Our stateroom is exactly the same size and layout as the one on our Panama Canal cruise over New Years 2010 with Phil and AnneMarie.

The ship had a sailaway party offering free spirits, wine and champagne.  Waiters passed delicious hors d'oeuvres while we conversed with the tech staff.   They will be offering DSLR camera classes, so I was getting the scoop on those.
As I write, the ship is leaving Seattle for the open ocean.  Dinner is at 8:00p.m. and like the olden days, there are only two seatings per night.  Jeff picked a table for six in a good location so let’s hope the other people at the table are as good.

Good night.
