Cannes, France

Years ago, we spent a week in Cannes at the Hotel Martinez. We love this city. It is somewhat reminiscent of Santa Monica to us. It was great to be back. The ship had an excursion to Nice (another of our favorites) and Eze (which we had never been to.) We walked the pedestrian-only area of Nice, stopping at a sidewalk cafe for cappuccinos and then visited some shops. Eze is a medieval vertical town on a hilltop overlooking the Cote de Azur between Nice and Monaco. Very, very touristy. It was all uphill which Jeff was not at all pleased with. But it gave me what I wanted, the opportunity to sit at a cafe, sip some wine watching the crowds go by. We had to return to the ship by 2:00 p.m. so that it could re-position itself at Monte Carlo.
For some reason, we don't have any pictures of the day except for one. I know I took many.....oh well.
