After checking out of our hotel in Exeter, we drove to the Manchester airport to drop off Mom and Stacy. We then drove into Boston to drop off the rental car and boarded the Acela to Philadelphia. The train trip took us through New York's Penn Station, so we got to see our old home from afar.
We rented a car at the Philadelphia train station and then drove to Jeff's cousin's house for dinner. It was great catching up with Robyn, Kenny, Jeremy and Danielle. Jeff's Uncle Jerry and Aunt Marlene also joined us. It was then a short drive to our hotel in King of Prussia.
The next day we drove over to Valley Forge. It was very interesting seeing George Washington's command center and all the huts where the soldiers lived.
We made a short stop at the incredibly large mall in King of Prussia to pick up a duffel bag to handle all the t-shirts, hats and other stuff we had picked up along the way. Later in the day, we visited Uncle Jerry and Aunt Marlene in their beautiful retirement complex. After seeing the facilities, we sat down in their apartment to catch up over some wine. We then headed over to the dining hall where Uncle Jerry and Aunt Marlene treated us to a nice dinner. Afterwords, Aunt Marlene took us across the street to show us an art exhibit which displayed many of her paintings. It was quite something to see all of her years of talent shown together.
The next day, we drove to the Philadelphia airport for the flight home.
