We arrived today at the entrance to the Panama Canal and docked at Puerto Amador, just on the outskirts of Panama City. We tendered in and caught a mini-van for a night excursion of Panama City. The windows of the mini-van were blacked out so along with it being night-time it was very difficult to see much. Panama City resembles a smaller version of Miami Beach. There was some type of festival going on for the new year so there were lots of people out and about celebrating. We all agreed we would like to someday go back and see the city center in the daylight.
