No town nearby at this port. We did a shore excursion to the town of Antigua which is about one and a half hours from the port. Antigua is inland in the mountains near some large volcanoes. We spent most of the day walking around seeing the sights. Jeff found a gallery where he purchased an interesting statue. Phil and I headed over to the edge of town where the flea market type shops were located while Jeff and AnneMarie rested in the central park plaza. Very interesting town but Jeff and I agreed we doubted we would ever have an interest in returning to Guatemala.
