Entered the canal at 5:00 a.m. and reached the Atlantic Ocean at 7:00 p.m. Weather was very pleasant. We all stood out on the decks watching this engineering marvel for hours. Several cruise ships passed us going in the opposite direction. We were able to see where the Panamians are finishing building the new wider canal that can accommodate the newer mega-tankers. We stopped in one lock for awhile to let off a very ill passenger.
