We spent five wonderful days in Palm Springs over New Years with our friends Rick, Barbara, Phil and AnneMarie. We rented a four bedroom house with a swimming pool and spa in the old Las Palmas section.
Rick and Barbara's daughter Nicole and her husband Dennis stayed over one night with their new baby Katelin.
We celebrated New Year's Eve at Wangs in the Desert. The meal was stupendous as were the views for Jeff and me. Come to find out, Wang's clientele is primarily gay!
We went on a few nice walks around the neighborhood and one day Phil took us on some incredible scenic hikes. I primarily took video so I don't have any digital photographs to share with you of the towering rocks and gurgling creeks we saw.
On the way home to Las Vegas, we ran into a snowstorm. Cars were swerving across the front of us and continued their slide into the highway divider. We decided to get off the road at Victorville and spent an hour at a Mimi's waiting for the snow to lessen. The rest of the drive was uneventful thank goodness.
